Clash for PC
Our Purpose and Editorial Standards
Desktop client downloads, configuration guides, and open-source ecosystem resources.
Our Purpose
Clash for PC is an independent guide to using Clash and finding client downloads. It offers content in multiple languages and is not affiliated with the teams that develop individual clients. Topics include installation, subscription imports, rule-based routing, and TUN settings. The downloads page organizes sources by operating system and architecture to help readers find safe downloads from verifiable sources. Clients and proxy services are separate; installing a client does not provide a working subscription.
Clash, Meta, and mihomo
The original Clash established the fundamentals of rule matching, proxy groups, and YAML configuration. Clash Meta expanded on this foundation with additional protocol and networking features, and has since continued under the mihomo project name. GUI clients manage configuration and provide a desktop interface, while the core handles network connections. Similar names do not mean identical features; whether a configuration works depends on the core's capabilities and the client's implementation.
Editorial Standards
Download sources are checked against project release information and app store listings, with actively maintained projects distinguished from archived ones. Tutorials are maintained based on hands-on testing and document key settings and applicable conditions. A single client's interface or defaults are not presented as universal across the ecosystem. If your interface differs, consult the user guide and help center, then troubleshoot in this order: subscription, mode, and proxy routing.
